It was Labour and the Lib/Dems that denied us the political vote that turned commercial agreements on trade into political authoritarian diktat. As  Churchill said "Trust the British people". Labour refused to do so and the Tories took too long to get round to doing so. Neither presented a state of competent argument.
We would have had a perfectly harmonious relationship with the EU had France not panicked over the greater empire and commonwealth that we created, for which reason the EU denied us earlier entry and ensured the rationality and logic we would have brought was excluded from the EU's basic structure, leading them away from proper objectives.

Vagaries will arise from time to time due to a variety of program upgrades that are taking some time to interact. So one ploughs on, irritated with being side-tracked by technicalities.

Barbara Clark "Don’t remember it causing all this disruption when we joined." That is precisely the point that was when the clowns causing the chaos should have caused the present chaos and stopped everything then!

Another correspondent “the UK membership was rejected 3 times by the European Union” to which I replied “and then we had the stupidity to persist. Having declared themselves fools the Commons persisted in their foolishness.” By the way, thanks for the correction, I had always thought they had only rejected us twice, not thrice yet the ommons fools persisted out of sheer bloodymindedness, which normally is a good typical response but not on this occasion!

IN OUT ROUNDABOUT: that's Corbyn all over!

Quite understandable, another irrelevance to divert attention elsewhere, just because a chap can't afford a decent tailor and goes around in baggy pants. [In response to booing of Trump’s claim of great achievement on killing al-baghdadi].

Tuesday 29th October 2019
No, just work at the job we gave them at our expense and which they still haven't done. Our orders are quite clear BREXIT. I am a Brexiteer who voted "Remain", I thought we had been diddled too far down the line but the majority wanted Brexit, fine by me. The fuss and palaver we have now we should have had when we lost our sovereignty, making sure none of this hassle was needed. Corbyn is right, we want major change: abolish the Commons and rehash the Lords to modern times, Let's go!

In response to a General Election. Here we go again, doing things the wrong way round and making a right mess of the whole! I've switched out totally until its all over, concentrating on my own things, except that I'm in one of my crashed out states and totally unfit for anything! Goodbye world until December!

Bless you! You are simply you, how many of the others are simply themselves or fitting in to other people's opinions? [In response to a friend’s Facebook post “When I travel through London I’m aware of the marked differences in how people dress for work. Some people look effortlessly majestic, strutting along in their finery. Others have nailed smart casual, a kind of social camouflage that enables you to blend in absolutely anywhere. Then there’s me, dressed like I’m on day release from agricultural college”].

Aah well. Many have more problems than I so be grateful but really we do seem to be falling down the hole Corbyn seems so keen to drill for us. Toyota, or one of its garages tried to read me their new Terms and Conditions contract over the phone. Apparently "the law" requires it, I told them not to waste my time with such drivel and to send it by email or refer me to a URL, this had never occurred to them.

I have just read a 32page double-column booklet on SLE and Sjogren's Syndrome, both of which I had been diagnosed as having several years back but which seems to have been generally forgotten, concentrating on diabetes which I don't think I actually have. The merry-go-round of NHS health continues and I have no cause to complain with the diverse range of consultants I'm privileged to draw upon. I just hope everyone else is served as well as I seem to be.

This is appalling, government incompetence seems ever increasing and widening. I put it down to the ineptitude of paying too much attention to the EU and not insisting the EU follows our ways in our country. Our civil servants are completely at a loss, purely because the EU has never accepted us as we are, expecting us to live their misrepresentation instead of simply moving backsides and getting on with the job as we are used to doing, knowing what we were doing. [In response to the appalling revelations of our education system for Special Educational Needs in which we are failing abysmallfy.]

What the hell for, we made the decision 2 years ago about time someone moved their arse. In reply to post on three month Brexit delay.

Good morning world! Wow! Haven't felt like this for years (or such a long time such a description is not hyperbole). Just happens. Sjögren's, SLE? Damned if I give a damn, this morning I'm "normal". How long that will last I have no idea but for the moment I am enjoying the feeling to the full. Grab the morning, plough on regardless: breakfast, a good way to start and suddenly the thought of driving for a breakfast out vaporises in disinclination to be side-tracked from simply "getting on". Coincidence I am sure but a full night's sleep through to a bright sunshine morning certainly helps, the hour feeling right, although I had not noticed any problem with Summer Time. A sense of "normality" pervades and my mind is set on work, it's natural proclivity. Quick snack breakfast and "on the road", not literally, figuratively speaking.

What arrant twaddle. WE are the people who pay the cost, lose control over our own country of course we decide! We know what we are doing, the House of Commons has driven itself into a state of irrationality and utter uselessness, time for it to be abolished.

Morning world: coincidences, coincidences... or are they all part of the natural fullness of life? 'Florida Suite' by Delius,,, written in Leipzig! For me, the clocks have gone back and I am greeting a full sun dawn, awake and reasonably energetic, reasonably organised: "delay ironing until Andrew Marr is on, to whom I like to pay full attention, as also the political discussion programme that follows; use the space before with undistracted clarity of mind to be creative, hence this missive. I have a sense of progression, unexperienced for too long, head clear, but slightly lightly light-airiness. Countering that is a letter from Herts Valleys ENT triage, so request of hearing-aid specialist is being followed through and with re-investigation by rheumatological consultant on Friday into SLE, everything seems encouraging but we will probably end up concluding " you have SLE, cope with it!" It can effect anything and everything and could explain the reason for recommending ENT checks and my recent light-headedness might be explainable by SLE! So, nowhere fast, save that as time goes on I seem to know more about my ill health than anyone else!

There is a very important point in what Roberta Vee said, above. How we, as white people, regard policing issues, is not the same as how people of colour will regard them. "We can pass by police and be positively profiled time and time again, we have nothing to fear. I have only been stopped and searched at protests, a situation 'I chose' to put myself into. I have been waved around knife detectors at train stations.

If I were person of colour I would be negatively profiled and made to walk through that knife detector all the time, I’d be a de facto suspect. We can only imagine how degrading and humiliating that is, how depressing and hurtful that is. Let alone how terrifying it is (Google ‘Black deaths in custody U.K. and you will understand why). We cannot know how it’s feels to go through what that man yesterday went through every time he takes a plane, meets police...

I really wish that guy yesterday didn’t have to be in a situation where a white girl was his get out card, for me to positively assert my white privilege to get him out of that terrifying situation. That’s a sign something isn’t right."

It’s so easy for us to turn the focus away from this issue, it is important that we don’t, and we find positive ways to talk about it and tackle it.

O.k., I can see where you are coming from and being you I accept as presented but I am concerned as a general principle: people chose to come and we are who we are, it is for them to fit in and adapt, not us BUT, I am aware of white negativity to coloured which flaws me completely as we are a nation of commonwealth countries and this UK's inhabitants are used to international diversity since, in principle, down the years, we created it and opened up the world. Interested in learning more of your experience.

To Facebook friend. That assumes you are dealing like with like. When you have thousands of our anti-social members frittering our resources mindlessly away something practical has to be done. I think, if you check the details, you will find one of those was technically committing a crime by using someone else's ticket. The other day, entering a hospital car park, a chap leaving offered me his still time unused ticket and I declined, pointing out that he was inviting me into a joint criminal activity: such tickets are non transferable.

Definitely losing it! I did a post 6hrs ago and it has disappeared, so what on earth did I do? I greeted the world in my usual way, totally switched out so that is why I’ve lost it all. Anyway, a slow morning and I parked in the town car park, having visited the hospital a few days previously, to give a blood sample for the leeches and was thus forewarned of the over-demand for parking.
A not unpleasant walk through Amersham, all simple and straight forward until my consultant, responding to my own experiences since our last meeting with him, decided to launch a diverse range of other possibilities to diabetes. More tests and other tests instigated an additional line of enquiry to be followed through. I recalled that a previous consultant had been thrown by my reports and queried that I actually had SLE (Systemic Lupus Erythromotosus) but that is simply impossible to diagnose other than by eliminating a diverse range of alternatives that could also fit the circumstances just as surely.
So, here we go again on another investigative journey.
A monotone, light grey sky enabled the autumn colour changes to show up, despite the lack of a slanting sun. Damp with light rain but on running out of Aston Clinton, the Aylesbury Vale was completely filled with mist. Of course I lunched at ‘The Crow’s Nest’, luxuriating in a steak and chips and various sauces. Then home and writing this, which I managed to lose! Thus exasperated I chose to re-write now, instead of going to bed! It now appears, as this will not post that Facebook is having technical details, hence the saga!

Extraordinary! Does no one understand roads are for travelling along? I had a problem coming up from Norwich on Monday, the A1 was only held up a few miles north of Hatfield and then suddenly cleared for through traffic to A41 junction. Hearing of a "power cut" at 09:00 I had expected it to clear by 11:00, still hadn't it would appear, how come such chaos?

Morning world, one P Such Esq reporting in. A mid-grey back stage curtain has dropped a third of the way down my valley blotting out my view. To that point it is crystal clear but not unpleasantly damp.

Sources of irrationality tend to be consistent over time. Likewise occasional irrationalities appear in the most rational! See the specific in the context of the whole but few take the trouble to define the whole so we all know precisely what we are talking about.

On what logic? Were our MPs doing their job this sort of twaddle would have happened the moment it was obvious we were losing our sovereignty, not when we had decided we wanted it back. Commons obsolelete and unfit for purpose not a clue about management, which is what parliament needs.

Total confusion over fact and fantasy. In response to a claim that someone was having his Europeanism taken away by Brexit, clearly confused between politics and geography.

 Sunday 20th October 2019
I am slowed down... I'm getting old! I don't know that I want to slow down, I've made a note in my "dead and gone" file for those having to clear my mess I haven't got round to clearing before actual departure "Never write RIP for me, I want continued involvement!"

Saturday 19th October 2019
Quite right! They are playing with words, thus advertising their wilful determination to defy the people's will. The people voted and these egotist's are determined their little egos should over-ride free will. [In protest to wilful confusion deliberately created by the term of “people’s vote” which in reality is the Referendum we’ve just had!]

What they actually mean when they want a “people’s vote” is they want a second referendum, they are all "people's votes"! They are trying to hide their duplicity.

Religion is too narrow, we need to broaden our horizons and widen our philosophical outlook. In response to a complaint that America’s grasp of religion is weakening.

A facebook report. "Somebody called me with this phone number 07060714545 telling me he was doing some registration online and he mistakenly put my number on what he was registering, that my number is similar to his number and that the password of what he was registering was sent to my phone which I actualy saw as 6310.
He was now appealing to me to give him the reset code that was sent to my phone so that he could finish his registration. I told him to call me with the number he claimed was similar to mine so that I could verify his claim, he told me he didn't have credit on that line.
I got online to find out more, only to discover he was actually trying to reset my bank online/yahoomail password and that he is a fraudster, an account hacker and also a 419er. If I had given him the code which was sent to my phone, he would have used it to reset my bank online/mobile app account.
Please let us be careful and vigilant. Fraudsters are devising new ways every day."
From a Neighbourhood watch report. "This is a new way of defrauding people...
Share to prevent others from being defrauded."
Subsequently I did a Google search and found this: "The overall rating for phone number 07060714545 is Dangerous. There have been 1,445 queries and 9 comments relating to this number. On this page: 9 Users rated it as Dangerous. The summary of detected keywords found in the reports is as follow: bank (6 times), scam (3 times ... "

Absolutely delighted with a friend whom I respect greatly, even (perhaps particularly) when disagreeing with me. I have opened today with trepidation, concerned on her possible stance and am delighted to read it. The last thing I want to do is cross with her, so usually simply keep quiet when in disagreement but on this I could not be silent. Always see the specific in context of the whole picture and at this very moment there is an "official" representative of 'extinction rebellion' on Victoria Derbyshire and the fool girl is burbling arrant twaddle, seeing only her view with an attitude of "sod everyone else's opinion". The context is balance of meaningful practicality. Time tables are structured to serve society at society's cost on which the vulnerable members of society depend for their daily lives, security of their children and commitment to jobs on which the sick rely for treatment or being reassured by arrivals. For this stupid little girl to think her ego is remotely important compared with other people's commitments to others is beyond belief. If this is representative of their best, the whole project is clearly a dead duck from the starting line. Change attitudes forthwith!

Highlights the irresponsibility of UK parents too bone idle to give their children FREE vaccinations! My response to post requesting money for foreign children dying through lack of vaccinations.

I would attribute the charge to a general reduction of personal accountability and abandonment of professional standards.

Many road users do not indicate their intentions when needed to ALL relevant road users, which includes pedestrians!!!

When did we become weak and why? Facebook post of EU map showing strength.

Tighter definitions all round. Define "habitable" that is the key. Facebook post on an article in The Guardian.

[On CCTV believed to be invasive] Why? Watched or unwatched one still is! We have a responsibility to each other to run society in a responsible way with least hassle to all.

Glad he did something useful in the end but it does raise the issue of how his evil manifested: neurological dysfunction from birth, arguably a God/Creation fault, therefore not his; parental failing in upbringing; combination of upbringing and socity's general dysfunction? The issue remains to be resolved. [Death in prison of baby abuser.]

Sunday 13th October 2019
Let's start by being calm and objectively reviewing. The House of Commons FAILED to defend the British people from loss of sovereignty over their own realm. Politicians have proved they could have prevented this loss of sovereignty because they have just carried out the appropriate actions to deliberately deny us regaining our sovereignty. Politicians do not understand basic management. FACT. The EU twice refused to allow uys to join because they did not think our inherent culture made us compatible--they were right! Competent management would have then ensured the government presented all the facts and then offered a referendum. The Common Market itself had already assessed our invalidity, but government did not issue a Referendum until after forty years of chaos had been ensured would be demanded to regain what we had lost. In 1649 we started brining the Lords under our control until the Commons became supreme. Now it is time to abolish the Commons. The Lords contain competence through previous ministers, accepted authorities: church (widened to include other faiths); law; trades union representatives; management ditto; health etc. Various methods can be used for representation. Lords decide main issues and we all vote from home electronically. Simple and straight forward!

Tomorrow commiserates the battle of Hastings but being us we made something from it!

Morning world. Got up... exhausted! Went back to bed. Try again a little later, obviously going to be one of those days!

Friday 11th October 2019
Evening. Dull grey sky with darker grey clouds scudding across, bearing ever heavier bouts of rain. It may be autumn but it is more of a winter scene and I am glad to be in. Sorry for those still commuting home, especially those on bikes. Take care you are not pushed into the traffic passing alongside you by gusts of wind.

Excellent, well done. Sorry you consider it necessary, it should not be, another failure of too many men.

Including all those strikes of which their supporters are so?

This is unacceptable and plain stupidity! Referring to irresponsibility of our Civil Service towards EU people.
I thought the whole purpose was to show how easy it was to live in the open cold? How much else are they lying about?

Thursday 10thi October 2019
Laughs Galore! Why on earth were you counting them indeed! They simply are--quite sufficient in themselves. As for Karen she is an absolute delight. I am sure they all drive their "parents" up the wall at home, makes me glad I'm a bachelor. At the same time I am sure they bring superb dream times to a home. While I understand there is a certain amount of "free response" to situations as they feel like it I suspect those kids are pretty savvy and are well self-disciplined when filming. Interesting. Writing on TV programme on a family with bright kids playingx freely interpreted characters.

Just tweeted "Quite correct. Parliament failed to raise the issue when we lost our sovereignty now it is wilfully blocking our regaining it, setting itself in opposition. Totally unfit. We need a complete re-organisation. Abolish Commons! Vote electronically from home!" In response to a tweet that claims research has found a major number of Brits will blame parliament for a failure of Brexit going through in time--already late from 31st March 2019.

“Democracy is about separation of powers. No understanding of why separation of powers is essential (or even what it is) equals zero understanding of democracy (and ultimately zero appreciation of democracy). This deficit of understanding is now killing us as a society in the UK.” Matthew F. Smith’s opinion in reply to The Guardian’s report, to which I replied “As exemplified by the Commons refuting Brexit while not murmuring concern over loss of sovereignty when it happened, the principle cause of our present crisis.”

Wednesday 9th October 2019
David Edgerton, Hans Rausing professor of the history of science and technology and professor of modern British history at King’s College London concludes an article in The Guardian thus: “Brexit is a necessary crisis, and has provided a long overdue audit of British realities. It exposes the nature of the economy, the new relations of capitalism to politics and the weakness of the state. It brings to light, in stunning clarity, Brexiters’ deluded political understanding of the UK’s place in the world. From a new understanding, a new politics of national improvement might come; without it we will remain stuck in the delusional, revivalist politics of a banana monarchy.” I have great sympathy with his views and somewhat piece-meal have so alluded previously. Here is the full article.

My previous comment on this situation had been to abolish the House of Commons. The time for that place to excite its position was at the point at which we lost our sovereignty. It didn't. Now the people have categorically stated their views this place has determined it will stop them. Time we, the people stopped this place! Use the Lords alone, forget the hereditaries but elected appointees of various business management, trades unions and former government ministers; including the church as presently composed plus other denominations. Commons replaced by us voting electronically from home. How's that for a modern representative government?

Now Extinction Rebellion is getting quite ridiculous and turning people away from the whole principle. The latest idea of wilful disruption for a fortnight gives not a damn for those who must work and be responsible for young children. Time constraints are crucial to some of their existences and people and their safety who rely upon them.

Christianity failed in the beginning, due to its supposed humanity which wasn't properly exercised (too many egoists) and communism left out humanity from its objective and detached clinical analysis. Attitude changes are necessary, posted in response to notices on the SALT conference.

"There is no greater a truth than simply being oneself and facing reality." In reply to a Facebook post anxious to claim the writer is working class but then who, these days isn’t working and why classify them as a class?

"Frequently irresponsible across its collective audience width." In response to enquiry over Harry and Meghan’s suing Mail on Sunday and Mirror.

"Interesting proposition and certainly worthy of discussion." In response to a suggestion that smokers, drinkers and the obese should be charged for NHS treatment.

“Rory Stewart. Now resigned from the Tory Party after being a candidate for leader. Wow! is that not a completely self serving attitude, particularly as he now declares himself as a candidate for the London Mayor election as an independent? Wow again! What next? Will someone please ask him a question? How much property, does either he or his friends, own in Europ? Was this multi-layered  involvement his reason for not supporting the DEMOCRATIC referendum vote to leave the EU? If I may be permitted that self-same question, it should be asked of all those, elected by the accepted and paid for by the public approved democratic process of their election to an expense-free living in the EU. Who now oppose the DEMOCRACY of the LEAVE WITHOUT ANY QUESTION WHATSOEVER of the Parliamentary question known as BREXIT? Guess What? Whoever you ask you will not get a proper answer. Self servers will remain but hopefully not until after the next General Election as they may need to then apply for a proper job.

It surprised me as I had expected them to win. Very disappointing, although given the length of time they had, there is personal responsibility for one's "going out of this world" but I cannot say I have been especially brilliant in that either. [commenting on WASPI loss of pensions claim.]

Deeply sad but an interesting reminder of the true nature of Communist China, highlighted by Hong Kong, which is NOT inflammatory towards China but simply showing China's ineptitude in basic government by appointing the inept Carrie Lam, who hasn't a clue about representing the people.

So, we move on, ageing is a sad business. Today I have decided not to renew my annual subscription to the Chartered Management Institute, although as a retiree it is a very low subscription but "MCMI" is no longer really relevant. CMI absorbed the British Institute of Management and there seemed, at the time, no point in continuing with the specialist Institute of Printing Management, a separate annual fee after acquiring appropriate qualifications. BA(Hons) remains for life with no fees and GCSEs were forgotten long ago. So, what have I to show for life? Time to reflect and plan for the future. Plan? Yes, there is no death, merely existence in a different form and a different state with which we are already inter-related if we have been living a full life, widely aware of what is going on around us. Tomorrow I see a specialist about my hearing and on Monday I see a consultant about the latest tests on my eyes. The body in which I have resided these last 76 years is disintegrating but I trust I will be sensitively aware of the call home when that world is ready for me. Over the years I have communicated now and again, as the mood and sensitive awareness has prompted me in moments of quietude and contemplation.

Wednesday 2nd October
Good after-noon world. WARNING Even BT can be spammed. Yes, I know, who would choose BT? Which? does give them one of the lowest company ratings for customer satisfaction. I thought I was reasonably on the ball but older age, reviewing my life and seemingly discovering a gentler side, not quite as alert as I thought I was.
Fortunately my innate questioning attitude started a rumbustious exchange with 'BT' telling them I did not like their attitude, their email was atrocious and also irresponsible in the information it was seeking, sent by letter to a director. It wasn't BT! Referred to a senior customer executive, it was fraud and appropriate actions enabled.
Nothing given away. What "gave the game away" was insistence that failure to perform would cause automatic disconnection. The old Such came immediately to the fore, hence the tirade. "P Such requires and your place in society is to jump to my tune. Do so immediately! P Such still alive and on the ball! Which is a pity because he had thought he was mellowing nicely.

Highly amusing that the French should apologise to us today for William the Conqueror's high-handed arrogance. [In reference to a Facebook post that apologies should be offered for our ancestor’s historical aggressive acts.

It was Labour's socialism that determined acceptance of the EU's diktats without argument because it took away their accountability for what they knew the country would not accept. All that is happening now is the rational debate Labour were not capable of holding.

Boundary clarification. How many seats and what preferred size of constituency population?

Proportional representation. Which system?

House of Lords? Should it be elected or appointed and upon what classification? Originally based on the realities of the day: Spiritual; Legal; Defence; land ownership; hereditary entitlement.

Today? Spiritual but across the faiths (define), including pure secularism/humanitarianism (all    appointed/elected by their respective churches); Legal, as is; Political (variable by proven worth, such as past ministers or retired professional senior civil servants and limited party nominations); representatives of Capital, Financial Services, Labour (all either retired or active, appointed or elected by their respective accredited bodies); Education (ditto precedents stated); Health (ditto); Other?

The whole re-viewable by a statutory committee reporting with recommendations to parliament on a ten yearly basis to cover relevance of classifications in the then current world. Modus operandi as at present.
